THINKERS ARE THANKERS!

An adage in my village says, “Ti omode ba dupe ore ana, a ri omiran gba.” Meaning, that if a child offers thanksgiving for yesterday’s kindness received, he will receive another from the giver. As the year is winding up, you and I have a reason to thank God for His benevolence. If you can THINK you can THANK. When you count your blessings and name them one by one, you will realise that God has done much for you this year. You may have lost some things this year, but God has not allowed you to lose everything! Give Him thanks! Your dreams early this year may not have come to pass, but you still have a mouth to scream and lick ice-cream, and your hands are still intact to even cream your body! Give Him thanks Your 2024 RESOLUTION might have suffered DISSOLUTION, but God has not allowed you to suffer DISLOCATIONS. Give Him thanks When you know that to come this far is not by your power, knowledge, wisdom, understanding, holiness, faithfulness, or prayers, you need to be grateful to God. Give Him thanks. Your dream marriage for husband or wife may not have come to pass in 2024, God might have prevented you from witnessing the death of your spouse. Give Him thanks! That pregnancy you so much needed may not have come this year. God might have disallowed it to prevent you from maternal mortality, stillbirth, or neonatal death! Give Him thanks! That so much anticipated vacation to your dreamland may not have materialized, because God knew it would end in disaster. Give Him thanks! That evils, trials, challenges, afflictions, and attacks that you survived this year took the lives of others. You are not better than others. Give Him thanks. The same road that others travelled and perished is the same road that you travelled and survived. Give Him thanks. Your dream car may not have materialized, because God knew the enemy might convert it into your coffin. Give Him thanks! So, in everything, when you THINK of the Lord's goodness, you need to THANK Him. Understand that, nobody can receive anything except it comes from God (John 3:27). And in everything, we should give thanks to God (1 Thess 5:18). Is it just me or time really flies, it's already February 3rd ,one month is gone in the year. Most people are still warming up to go, but , there is something called the power of inertia the end of the year brings. Inertia is the tendency of a body to maintain its state of rest or uniform motion unless acted upon by an external force. Big definition for a simple concept. Long and short of what this means is, if you slow down in December at the end of the year, it becomes more difficult for everybody to get going in January and a simple way to check if this is real to you or not is to ask yourself these questions 1.
