According to an adage, a child that despises elders' correction is threading the part of destruction. Everybody in life, no matter the age, education, wealth and intellectual background, is prone to committing errors or mistakes. This makes us human. Correction is one of the means to salvage us from the damage that may result from our errors or mistakes, by a corrector, who may likely be a friend or relative, older, wiser, or more experienced than us in life. It is also human nature to despise correction, due to pride, educational status, political position, and arrogance of ignorance, believing you are superior to the corrector.
